1. About this policy
CJ Holding Co Pty Ltd (ABN 27 697 786 299) trading as Levercon AI (Levercon, we, us, our) is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information we handle. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information, and how you can access or correct it or make a complaint.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in it.
In this policy, personal information has the meaning given in the Privacy Act: broadly, information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information that Levercon collects and holds as its own, for example through our website and in the course of our business development and client relationships.
It does not cover personal information that we handle on behalf of a client when delivering our services. When we build, deploy and manage AI workflows inside a client's own systems, any personal information within those systems remains under the client's control and is governed by our services agreement with that client and by the client's own privacy policy, not this one.
3. The personal information we collect
The personal information we collect is limited to what we need to run our business. It typically includes:
- contact details such as name, email address, phone number, job title and employer, collected when you contact us or when we engage with prospective and current clients and partners;
- correspondence and records of our dealings with you; and
- website and device information collected automatically when you visit our website, as described in the Cookies and analytics section below.
We do not seek to collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) in the ordinary course of our business.
4. How we collect personal information
We collect personal information directly from you, for example when you email us or meet with us. We also collect information from publicly available sources and professional networks in the course of business development, and automatically through our website.
5. Why we collect, hold and use personal information
We collect, hold and use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
- carry out business development and manage our relationships with clients and partners;
- provide, manage and improve our services;
- run and improve our website; and
- meet our legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
We will only use personal information for the purpose for which it was collected, a directly related purpose you would reasonably expect, or another purpose you have consented to or that is permitted by law.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. This may involve collecting information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.
7. Disclosure of personal information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information to:
- our service providers, including hosting, infrastructure, analytics and AI tool providers who help us operate our business and website;
- our professional advisers, such as our lawyers and accountants; and
- others where you have consented, or where we are required or permitted by law.
We require our service providers to protect personal information consistently with this policy and applicable law.
8. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers, including hosting and AI tool providers, are located or store data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with the APPs.
9. Keeping personal information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, using both technical and organisational measures. These include access controls, secure storage and transmission, and incident response procedures.
If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required.
10. How long we keep personal information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
11. Accessing and correcting your personal information
You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period. There is generally no charge for making a request, though a reasonable charge may apply for giving access in some cases.
12. Complaints
If you have a concern or complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will aim to resolve it promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.
